Job Title: Butcher / Meat Cutter – Production Operative

Location: Preston
Salary: £12.30 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 07:00 – 15:30, 5 days from 6 (Monday – Saturday on a rota)

We’re seeking hands-on individuals with strong meat handling skills to join our modern food manufacturing facility in Preston. Whether you’ve worked as a butcher, meat cutter, or in sausage packing, this is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform skilled butchery, meat cutting, and sausage packing to precise specifications

*

Operate heat sealing and packaging machinery (training provided if needed)

*

Accurately complete digital traceability and production records using an iPad

*

Work efficiently in a chilled production environment (approx. 5°C)

*

Safely lift products up to 25kg and assist with general cleaning duties

*

Meet health, safety, hygiene, and productivity standards

What We’re Looking For:

*

Previous experience as a butcher, meat cutter, or in a meat production role (essential)

*

Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)

*

Physically fit and comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on work

*

Able to follow detailed instructions and complete digital forms accurately

*

Experience in food manufacturing or manual handling is a bonus
