Science Technician - Lambeth - Start ASAP or September 2025

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join vibrant secondary schools in Lambeth. This full-time, term-time-only position is ideal for someone with a background in science who enjoys practical work and supporting students in a hands-on learning environment.

As a Science Technician, you'll support the science department by preparing and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. You'll ensure health and safety standards are met, assist in lessons when required, and keep the lab organised and well-stocked.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and prepare equipment for science experiments

Provide in-lesson support to teachers as needed

Ensure safe storage and disposal of chemicals and materials

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised lab environment

Requirements:

Background in science (qualification or lab experience)

Sound understanding of lab safety procedures

Organised, proactive, and a strong team player

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
