Design Engineer

Salary - up to £50k DOE

Our client, a forward-thinking engineering business is seeking a proactive Design Engineer to join their team, taking ownership of 2D and 3D draughting projects and supporting the production of high-quality manufactured products.

What You’ll Do

Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure designs meet business requirements.
Maintain and update the parts database and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.
Take a hands-on approach to design, proactively suggesting improvements and ensuring continuity across projects.
Support administrative functions, filing documentation, issuing drawings, and adhering to company quality and safety standards.About You

Experienced in design engineering or draughting within a similar industry.
Strong background in steelwork fabrication.
Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and general IT systems.
