Overview:
Mazco Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator/Programmer on behalf of a well-established precision engineering client based in Welwyn Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business with a strong order book, working with state-of-the-art machinery and producing high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Set, operate, and program CNC sliding head lathes to produce precision components.

*

Work with Fanuc controls and potentially operate Star, Citizen, and Tornos sliding head machines.

*

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts to tight tolerances.

*

Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment.

*

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

*

Ensure efficient production by identifying and resolving issues with minimal downtime.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience with CNC Sliding Head machines.

*

Confident with Fanuc controls; experience with Star, Citizen or Tornos machines is highly desirable.

*

Strong programming, setting, and operating abilities.

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

*

Good understanding of machining processes and materials.

*

A proactive approach and a strong work ethic.

Shift Details:

*

Monday to Wednesday: 1:30pm – 12:00am

*

Thursday: 1:30pm – 11:00pm

*

Total of 39 hours/week with a ½ hour unpaid meal break per shift.

*

20% shift allowance on top of standard hourly rate.
