The role
As a Training Requirements Manager (Nuclear), you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll manage local day to day training delivery and planning to ensure quality of learner/employee experience.

Day-to-day, providing a face to face presence and oversight for the training planning team the Training Requirements Manager (Nuclear) is pivotal in ensuring that organisational training requirements are met effectively and efficiently, including responsibility for the production and maintenance of an annual training requirements plan aligned to identified nuclear training requirements.

Advise managers on the business requirements for and the development and implementation of an integrated training requirements plan aligned to business demands.
Manage local day to day training delivery and planning to ensure quality learner and employee experience.
Lead and manage the training planning team including staff and their growth and development, including the implementation of continuing professional development within budgetary constraints.
Support people capability development activity across Devonport and the wider organisation related to training planning and booking, process improvements, integrating outcomes from evaluation and learning, contribution to policy, and identification and adoption of new technologies and approaches to drive improved outcomes.This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard

Essential experience of the Training Requirements Manager (Nuclear)

Demonstrated knowledge of a systems approach to training and theories of learning
Demonstrated experience in a regulated, technically complex, and diverse organisation
Demonstrated previous experience of team leadership within a service delivery areaQualifications for the Training Requirements Manager (Nuclear)

Educated to degree level in relevant HR, Engineering or Science Discipline - Desirable
L5 qualification in Learning and Development and or extensive experience in adult learning
Nuclear Plant Foundation and Nuclear Fundamental Course Modules 1 & 2 or equivalent
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
