A leading co-educational independent school in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Art and Design Teacher to join its creative arts faculty from September 2025. The school places a strong emphasis on creativity, and the role includes teaching a broad curriculum from lower school through to A-Level, supporting pupils working in a wide range of traditional and digital media.
You’ll be part of a dynamic and ambitious department that encourages students to express their individual artistic voices through portfolio development, critical reflection, and frequent participation in internal and external exhibitions.
Responsibilities Include:

Delivering high-quality lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and/or digital art
*
Supporting students with GCSE and A-Level coursework and examination preparation
*
Curating student exhibitions and managing the use of studio spaces
*
Collaborating with the wider arts team on joint events and trips
Ideal Candidate:
*
Degree in Fine Art or Visual Arts; PGCE + QTS
*
Strong creative practice and subject knowledge
*
Passion for nurturing student individuality and expression
*
Confident in assessment and supporting art school/portfolio applications
