Teaching Assistant - KS1 - Leigh - Full-Time - ASAP Start

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive KS1 team at a lovely primary school in Leigh . This is a full-time position starting ASAP, ideal for someone passionate about early education.

Job Details:

Position: Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Location: Leigh

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:

As a Teaching Assistant in this KS1 class, you will:

Support the class teacher with day-to-day activities and lessons

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help children reach their potential

Assist with phonics, reading, and basic maths work

Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment

Be an approachable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who contributes to the wider school community

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in KS1

A calm, patient, and professional attitude

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

A genuine desire to grow and develop as a Teaching Assistant
