Field Service Engineer

We are working with an established Special Purpose Machinery Manufacturing company based in Lancashire, UK.

They are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join their dedicated Support team.

In return for a salary in the region £35.000 - £45.000 along with excellent employment benefits.

Ultimately, they are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Production/ Field Engineer who can bring in at a highly skilled level ahead of their extremely busy production schedule.

You will be providing a high level of technical assistance to businesses across the UK and the world.

You will be responsible for visiting customer’s sites throughout the UK, as well as working overseas, carrying out repairs and installation/ commissioning activities on our extensive range of machinery as well as playing part of our UK based production team.

60% travel mainly UK and Ireland, 30% EU countries and 10% factory based.

Majority of jobs are complete within a working day and are predominantly based within the Yorkshire and Lancashire region’s, but if required to work away these trips can take anything from 2 days up to 2 weeks depending on the nature of the repair/ job.

They offer excellent working conditions and a competitive remuneration package which is to be negotiated based on experience, starting with 23 days holiday, increasing 1 day for each year up to 25 + stats.

Key Responsibilities include:

* You will demonstrate experience in mechanical building of large complex equipment from scratch, working to pneumatic/ engineering/ electrical diagrams.

* General mechanical assembling duties.

* Panel Wiring

* Candidates must be able to read schematic diagrams.

* It is essential that you have significant experience of Mechanical and Electronics Engineering.

* Must be well versed in PLC Programming: Schneider/ Siemens and Mitsubishi hardware and have knowledge of panel wiring and invertors.

Requirements:

* Able to work effectively to deadlines.

* Able to work alone or as part of a team.

* Any experience of installation and/ or commissioning and or testing of large complex equipment is preferred.

* Must be able to work overseas and across the UK when required.

* Full driving licence
