Our client, a leading innovator, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their high-performing team. Monday to Friday (every second Friday is a non working day) and up to two days' work from home.

What you’ll be doing:

* Creating and updating 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings in SolidWorks

* Managing product designs from concept to delivery following BS8888 standards

* Performing simulation-based analysis such as FEA, thermal, and vibration studies

* Writing technical documentation, manuals, test procedures, and more

* Leading design projects while working closely with a cross-functional engineering team

* Supporting prototype build, assembly, and testing

* Visiting clients or suppliers as required – a full UK driving licence is essential

What we’re looking for:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above preferred) or equivalent experience

* Strong background in detailed product design and complex mechanisms

* Experience in DFM, DFA, and knowledge of manufacturing methods including machining, castings, and mouldings

* Proficiency with SolidWorks and design in high-reliability or defence sectors is a bonus

* Highly motivated, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities

* Confident communicator with leadership potential and a positive, team-first attitude
