Ongoing support throughout your assignment, with temp to perm optionsProspero Teaching are supporting a warm and welcoming primary school in the Chester area who are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in January. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who is keen to develop their career in education.

The role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher, you will assist with lessons, deliver small-group support and occasionally provide 1:1 teaching assistant guidance where required. The school are looking for someone who is calm, proactive and committed to helping children grow academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities

Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Assisting the class teacher with lessons and daily routines
Providing small-group interventions and teaching assistant support
Offering 1:1 guidance for pupils who require additional help
Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
Helping children stay focused, motivated and engaged
Contributing to a safe, warm and supportive classroom environmentAbout the school

Easily accessible from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wrexham and surrounding areasThe ideal candidate

Experience working with children or vulnerable adults (essential)
Confident, patient and able to build strong relationships
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to education
Understanding of safeguarding and school policiesSafeguarding
