Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor

Hourly Rate: £27.42 (Umbrella)
Location: Barnsley
Job Type: Temporary (3-month rolling contract)We are seeking a Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves carrying out surveys for day-to-day repairs on council properties in Barnsley. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in surveying council or social housing properties.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct detailed surveys on council properties to assess the need for repairs.
Prepare and present survey reports highlighting the required repairs and maintenance work.
Work closely with the repairs team to ensure timely and efficient repair work.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations and safety standards.
Address any tenant concerns related to the maintenance and repair work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in carrying out surveys on council or social housing properties.
Qualification in building, surveying, or a related field, or time-served experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
