Job Title: Multiskilled Electrician (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Salary: £42,745 per annum + standby/call-out enhancements
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role
A leading housing provider is seeking a Multiskilled Electrician to join their Responsive Repairs team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will carry out a full range of electrical repairs and planned maintenance to domestic properties, public buildings, and associated assets. In addition to core electrical duties, the role includes minor associated building works and participation in an out-of-hours rota to cover emergency repairs.
Duties will include electrical testing, fault finding, rewires, EICRs, installation of final circuits, replacement of consumer units, and general repairs in line with BS7671:2018+A2:2022.
In addition to core electrical responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to undertake minor associated building works, including:
Patch plastering
Cutting out and replastering cracks in walls
Taking up and refixing floorboarding
Making good to plasterwork on ceilings following removal of fittings
Hacking off and renewing ceramic tiles not exceeding 1m²
Applying silicone sealant to worktops

What We're Looking For
Full UK driving licence (essential)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)
C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent 2394/5)
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation
Demonstrable experience in domestic electrical repairs and testing
Ability to complete EICRs and associated certification to a high standard
Basic experience in related trades
Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations including the Electricity at Work Act
Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Willingness to participate in standby/call-out rota and occasional weekend work
