Humly is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary school settings, providing classroom supervision and continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. These roles are available on an ad-hoc, short-term and long-term basis throughout the academic year.
This role is ideal for individuals with relevant experience working with young people, particularly those considering a future career in teaching or education.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supervising classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher
* Delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Supporting pupils with questions related to the work set
* Maintaining a calm, structured and positive learning environment
* Liaising with teaching and pastoral staff as required
What You’ll Bring (Relevant Experience Required)
To meet Humly’s minimum requirements, applicants must have one of the following:
Degree-level education, OR
Coaching experience (sports, youth or education-based) with young people
If neither of the above applies, candidates must have:
* A minimum of 6 months referenced experience working in a professional childcare or education setting
Relevant experience may include:
* Secondary school classroom support
* Youth work or mentoring roles
* Sports coaching with children or young people
* Behaviour or pastoral support roles
* Education support or intervention work
Pay Structure
* Cover Supervisor: £115 per day
