Senior Financial / Management Accountant - Leicester

Our client – a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester – is seeking an experienced candidate to join its’ team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Production of management accounts,
Control account reconciliations,
Accruals & prepayments,
Inventory controls,
Managing fixed assets register,
General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting,
VAT returns,
Assist with completion of month-end, ad-hoc weekly / monthly reporting,
Support with the annual statutory financial statement audit

Balance Sheet reconciliations
The Right Person

Qualified ACCA or ACA or ACMA
Ideally with experience of imports & exports,
Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
Strong accounting skills to include both P&L and balance sheet
Be able to unpick problems and deliver solutions
Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  Able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation,
Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline,
Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts / tables, macros, data models), Sage, Xero and, MS Dynamics 365 – Business Central (ERP).
Package

Appointment Type: Permanent
Salary: (subject to experience) £50,000 to £65,000
Hours: Full-Time office based
