A leading UK-based facilities management company is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to manage engineering operations at a prestigious development in West Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with leadership experience to take responsibility for shift-based service delivery and ensure critical systems operate smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Shift Engineer:
* Supervise and coordinate shift engineers to deliver planned and reactive maintenance.
* Ensure all engineering tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Monitor and operate building systems including HVAC, BMS, UPS, and emergency power.
* Conduct shift handovers, maintain accurate logs, and escalate issues as required.
* Liaise with contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with permits and procedures.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Ideal Profile of the Electrical Shift Engineer:
* 5+ years’ experience in building services or facilities engineering.
* Strong technical knowledge across electrical and mechanical systems.
* C&G Parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent, plus 18th Edition.
* IOSH accreditation and excellent communication skills.
* Experience supervising engineering teams in a shift-based environment.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
