Field Service Engineer

Location: Bedford – Covering UK & Ireland

Salary: £44,000 to £46,600 + Overtime + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus + Company Van – Giving a potential earning of £60,000 - £68,000 (inclusive of call out & o/t)

Days Based - Monday to Friday

The Company

My client is a privately owned, market leading company who have been supplying packaging solutions to a variety of FMCG manufacturers for over 60 years. The expansion and development of this secure organisation has been built on reputation and the ability to deliver consistently to their clients. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional field service engineer, with service and commissioning experience.

Key Skills

* Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical

* Experience of PLC Systems & Automated Machinery

* Understanding of PPM Systems

The Role

* Undertake commissioning installations as required by Sales and Service.

* Undertake Service visits as required.

* Undertake service package visits as outlined in package maintenance schedule.

* Undertake courtesy visits to customers as required.

* Liaise with Customer and OEM to always ensure best possible outcomes.

* Attend OEM sites as required for, but not limited to, machine familiarisation, resolution of issues and training.

* To adopt a “can do” solutions driven approach in all interactions.

* Act as a resource for training and technical support for Sales and Service Teams.

* Ensure all Health and Safety obligations are adhered to on site, maintaining both Customer and Company standards of H&S compliance.

* Achieve key objectives set in line with the strategic aims of the business.

* Attend Company, Supplier, and Industry events, as required.

* Develop an in-depth technical understanding of the key products in the Company portfolio and their application.

* Complete all job reports, timesheets, and expenses etc accurately and on time.

* At all times act in the best interests of the Company, Customers, OEMs and all other stakeholders.
