£45,000 - £55,000 plus benefits including car allowance

A leading specialist asset maintenance contractor for buildings and structures operating across the UK is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of infrastructure works across water sector projects. Based in Chesterfield, this is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for quality, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations and workforce coordination
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Assist with planning, logistics, and subcontractor management
Maintain accurate site records and contribute to progress reporting
Liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and collaboration

Requirements

Valid EUSR card (Essential)
Proven experience on water infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of site safety and compliance
Excellent communication and organisational skills
CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred)
Full UK driving licence
