Trainee Site Manager / Materials Controller
You’ll join a leading West London developer renowned for delivering high-quality, community-focused residential schemes. This is a structured role ideal for someone looking to grow on-site alongside experienced construction professionals.
Duties:
Materials Controller (Year 1) – Learn & Support
* Schedule and call off materials to match build programme stages
* Track inventory – flag shortages early and optimise usage
* Partner with site teams to ensure safety and environmental compliance
* Liaise confidently with suppliers and logistics teams to maintain smooth deliveries
* Maintain accurate materials records and site documentation
Trainee Site Manager (After ~1 Year) – Step Up & Grow
* Begin supervising on-site activities under guidance
* Coordinate labour, plant, and subcontractors to meet deadlines
* Assist with daily logs, toolbox talks, and site meetings
* Ensure quality standards and health & safety regulations are upheld
* Develop into full site management responsibilities on completion of Phase 1
Essential
* Graduate with degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related field
* Up to 12 months of hands-on construction experience (e.g., placement, internship, site assistant)
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and eagerness to learn site operations
* Proactive, reliable and site-ready from day one
Desirable
* Any materials coordination or basic site supervision exposure
* Knowledge of health & safety best practices and site protocols
