This is a newly created position within a fast-paced and quality-driven manufacturing business, built on a long-standing reputation for customer excellence and precision engineering. As the Operations Support Co-ordinator, you’ll play a critical role in the post-sales process, ensuring that customer orders—once converted from quotes—are efficiently moved through to delivery. You’ll be a key contact for customers, taking ownership of outbound communication to accelerate lead times and ensure timely fulfilment of every order.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Coordination (approx. 50% of your time):

Make outbound calls to customers following receipt of a confirmed order from the Sales Team
*
Agree delivery dates, aiming to encourage and persuade customers to take delivery sooner than originally expected
*
Follow up persistently but professionally to secure delivery commitments—often requiring multiple attempts to reach the customer
Operational & Administrative Support (approx. 50%):

Update internal systems with confirmed delivery details and customer communications
*
Liaise with scheduling and procurement co-ordinators to ensure production and delivery timelines align with customer expectations
*
Manage email communications related to customer orders, ensuring all follow-up is timely and accurate
*
Support wider team efforts to achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) targets—helping ensure customers receive exactly what they ordered, when and where they expect it
About You:
* You’re a confident communicator who thrives on the phone and can build rapport quickly
* You're highly organised and persistent—comfortable chasing updates and managing competing priorities
* You’re commercially aware, understanding the value of reducing lead times and delivering a seamless customer experience
* You're a team player who can coordinate effectively across departments
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or operations support role would be highly beneficial
