Job Title: Project Coordinator / Document Controller (Flooring Specialist)
Location: Essex (Head Office)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently supporting a leading fit-out and flooring contractor in their search for a Project Coordinator / Document Controller to join their head office team in Essex.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in flooring, ideally from a commercial or residential construction background, who enjoys managing documentation, coordinating between teams, and keeping projects organised and on track.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain all project-related documentation, ensuring everything is filed and up to date
*
Assist the Pre-Construction team with planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities
*
Upload and update documents on client portals and internal systems
*
Coordinate sample submissions and track approvals
*
Work closely with Estimators, Project Managers, and the wider operations team to ensure a smooth handover to delivery
*
Track and manage specification queries, material submittals, and sample schedules
*
Ensure all materials are ordered accurately, in line with lead times and programme of works
*
Help manage workload planning and internal reporting
About You:
*
Previous experience working in a flooring or interiors subcontractor environment is essential
*
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
*
Confident communicator and proactive team player
*
Comfortable using project management tools and client documentation portals
*
Strong administrative and coordination skills
