Humanities Teacher
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time
We're looking for a passionate and committed Humanities Teacher to join a specialist independent school for students aged 11-18 who benefit from a therapeutic and nurturing setting. You will be joining a dedicated team in delivering meaningful learning experiences that help every student thrive.
The Role
You will teach engaging Humanities lessons at Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level, helping students achieve strong academic outcomes while nurturing their personal growth. This role combines subject passion with a therapeutic approach to education.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs
Create a supportive, well-managed classroom environment
Track and assess student progress to inform teaching
Enrich learning with trips and creative curriculum design
Act as a form tutor and liaise closely with families and professionals
Support the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing policies
What We're Looking For
Degree-level education in a Humanities subject
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Eligible to teach and work in the UK
Proven ability to raise attainment
Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies
Commitment to continuous professional development
A collaborative mindset and genuine belief in student potential
