About the Role

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading food distribution business based in
Waltham Cross

, who are looking for an experienced
Warehouse Supervisor (Nights)

to join their busy and fast-paced operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and experience in a food or temperature-controlled warehouse environment. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the night shift operation, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all warehouse activities

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate a team of warehouse operatives on the night shift, ensuring smooth running of operations.

Plan workloads and allocate resources to meet operational deadlines and KPIs.

Oversee the accurate picking, packing, and loading of food products ready for delivery.

Maintain compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and temperature control standards.

Conduct shift briefings, motivate staff, and manage performance through training and feedback.

Liaise closely with Transport and Day Shift teams to ensure a seamless handover.

Monitor stock integrity and support with inventory checks when required.

Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About You
Previous experience as a
Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader, or Shift Manager

within a
food, FMCG, or chilled environment

.

Strong understanding of
food safety, H&S, and warehouse procedures

.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Confident using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.

Able to work nights on a permanent basis.

Reliable, proactive, and capable of managing a team in a high-pressure environment.
