Role: Chemistry Lecturer

Daily Rate: £200 - £245

Eden Brown Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Chemistry Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Lancashire.

This is a full-time temporary role to start asap likely until Easter., providing ongoing cover across Chemistry provision within the college.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging teaching to post-16 learners across a range of levels, supporting achievement and progression.

The Role

As a Chemistry Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across the Chemistry curriculum, enabling learners to develop strong subject knowledge, practical skills, and confidence in applying scientific concepts.

You will contribute to curriculum delivery, assessment, and learner success within the Science department.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Chemistry lessons across FE programmes
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Prepare learners for assessments, practical activities, and examinations
- Maintain accurate learner records in line with college and awarding body requirements
- Ensure health and safety standards are met in laboratory environments
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A relevant qualification in Chemistry or a related science discipline (degree level or above)
- Experience teaching Chemistry within a Further Education or post-16 setting
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Strong subject knowledge across FE Chemistry curricula
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A learner-centred, inclusive approach to teaching
