We are seeking a committed and nurturing Primary Teacher to teach a mixed Year 1/2 class. This role is ideal for a teacher who combines strong classroom management with a gentle, compassionate approach, ensuring all children feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Teach and support a mixed Year 1/2 class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Create a calm, consistent, and structured learning environment

Provide stability and consistency for children, particularly those who require additional understanding and emotional support

Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers

*

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or working towards)

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

*

A gentle, patient, and empathetic nature

The ability to show understanding and compassion for children with additional emotional or behavioural needs

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan effectively for a mixed-age class

*

A consistent and fair approach that helps children feel secure and confident

Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
