What will you be doing? 

As a Machine Shop Engineer for BES Group, you will be prepping weld test pieces, maintaining the work shop and supporting/training more junior team members. You will be based with our team in Salford.

This includes:

Preparing weld test pieces for testing to ISO standards

Working to drawings/iso standards

Operating milling machines, lathes and band saws

Ordering tooling 

Maintaining system under a good health and safety regime

Mentoring of trainees through apprenticeship scheme

To be join our team as a Machine Shop Engineer, you will need:  

Experience in operating milling machines, lathes and band saws is essential

An Engineering qualification at Level 3 or equivalent (including city and guilds)

Desirable is an apprenticeship in a Machine Shop trade

Ability to support and train more junior members of staff
