About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PSHRE Teacher to join an inclusive secondary school community in Telford.
Starting in September 2025, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality PSHRE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students’ personal development and helping them become informed, confident, and responsible individuals.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate PSHRE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where sensitive topics are discussed appropriately and constructively.
* Contribute to the development of the PSHRE curriculum and enrichment programmes.
* Promote students’ wellbeing, resilience, and emotional literacy.
* Liaise with pastoral staff, external agencies, and families as necessary to support student needs.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A strong understanding of the PSHRE curriculum and related safeguarding practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with young people.
* A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
Desirable:
* Previous experience teaching PSHRE or a related subject (e.g. Citizenship, RE, Health & Social Care).
* Experience delivering RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) and mental health education.
