About the Role:

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing children for their transition into Key Stage 2. You will:

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners

*

Teach the full Year 2 curriculum, with particular focus on preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments

*

Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment where every child feels confident and valued

*

Use formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and subject leaders to raise standards across the year group

*

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers to support learning at home

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2

*

A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements

*

Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

*

A passion for helping children achieve their full potential through creative and inclusive teaching

*

A reflective practitioner who is committed to ongoing professional development
