The Apprentice Engineer role 

 

We offer apprenticeships across the UK in a range of levels and disciplines. Our apprenticeships offer structured development, providing the perfect launch pad for your career. During your apprenticeship with us, you will get:

The Apprenticeship Standard

 

This is a level 6 apprenticeship, which means that on its completion you will have both 5 years of experience and Beng (Hons) degree

 

SRM's chosen programme is delivered by the University of South Wales.

 

 

 

Your profile

 

At Sir Robert McAlpine typically, we look for the below:

Have a passion for problem solving

Be interested in construction, engineering and the latest technology

Work experience (desirable)

 

The Apprenticeship course entry requirements are as follows; 

 

BTEC

BTEC Diploma grade D*D*, with an A grade A level Mathematics or subject to passing appropriate assessment in mathematics.

BTEC Extended Diploma grade DDD including the two Mathematics units, 'Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems' and 'Further Engineering Mathematics'.

 

A Level: AAA

AAA grades at A level, to include Mathematics and a Physical Science. Applicants with strong profile but without A level Mathematics will be subject to passing appropriate assessment.

Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
