GSL Education are currently recruiting an Autism Support Worker to join a specialist all-age SEN school in Spilsby. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support students with Autism and a variety of additional needs in a caring, structured environment. This is a Learning Support Assistant position, with pay scaled to reflect your experience and qualifications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Autism.
Assist in delivering personalised education plans under teacher guidance.
Help students navigate classroom routines and develop essential life skills.
Use positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers.
What You Need:
Experience supporting children or young adults with autism/SEN (in school or care settings).
A calm, compassionate, and patient approach to behaviour and communication.
Willingness to learn and adapt to students' individual needs.
Understanding of PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration (desirable, not essential).
A current, up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
