CNC Miller / Turner

Location: Rochester, Kent

The Client:

Our client is a well-established engineering firm, specialising in designing and manufacturing tooling systems for the Military, Aerospace, Automotive, and Renewable Energy industries.

The Role:

As a CNC Miller / Turner, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and operating CNC machinery while collaborating with offline programmers. Training will be offered as needed.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as a CNC Miller, CNC Turner or in a similar role.

• Demonstrated experience in setting and operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC mills and lathes.

• Familiarity with Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Heidenhain control systems.

• Understanding of interpreting engineering drawings.

• Knowledgeable in calculating appropriate speeds and feeds for different materials.

• Skilled in using various measurement equipment such as Verniers and Bore Micrometers.

• Ability to adjust tool compensations as required.

• Experience with offline CAM programming and TNC control programming would be beneficial.
