Quality Manager
We are working in partnership with Willerby, a market leader in UK manufacturing, to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This is a key appointment for the business, offering the opportunity to lead and develop quality systems that underpin Willerby’s long-standing reputation for product excellence.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all quality assurance processes, ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standard — the Willerby Gold Standard — while driving continuous improvement across the organisation. You will be instrumental in the identification and resolution of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of preventative measures that deliver measurable improvements.
This is a highly collaborative role, working across operations, technical, customer service, and supplier teams. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving Willerby’s internal quality standards, coordinating production quality audits, and ensuring that all auditors are fully trained and consistent in their approach. Customer feedback and production data will form the foundation of your improvement projects, and you will play a key role in shaping processes based on real-world performance insights.
You will also take responsibility for supplier quality management, monitoring performance through Right First Time (RFT) metrics and working closely with the supply base to improve the quality of incoming materials. In addition, you will support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality is embedded from the outset.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior quality management role
* Proven experience with ISO 9001, Lean, and Total Quality Management (TQM)
* Strong leadership, analytical, and influencing skills
* A methodical and structured approach to quality improvement
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation in a role with genuine impact and visibility
