We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide holiday cover on a Section 278 scheme, with a strong background in drainage and kerbing works. The successful candidate must be confident working independently and managing day-to-day engineering duties.

Key Responsibilities

·Setting out for drainage, kerbs, footpaths and associated S278 works
·Interpreting drawings/specifications and ensuring compliance
·Managing permits to dig and completing relevant documentation
·Liaising with local authorities and utilities as required
·Supervising subcontractors and coordinating site activities
·Quality assurance and recording as-built information
·Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site

Requirements

·Proven experience on Section 278 / highways schemes
·Strong setting out skills using GPS, Total Station and levels
·Experience with drainage and kerbing installations
·Competent in handling permits to dig and related paperwork
·CSCS card (Engineer/Manager level)
·SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable)
·Right to work in the UK
·Ability to work with minimal supervision
