We are currently recruiting for a client who are a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of machinery in the FMCG industry. They are looking to bring in a talented Field Service Engineer to their team, offering a competitive salary and great benefits

Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Nationwide (primarily between Birmingham & Scunthorpe)
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic (Up to £70,000 OTE)
Benefits: Company car, great OTE opportunity, all necessary expenses paid, paid door-to-door 

Role Purpose
To deliver high-quality service support, including installation, commissioning, and pre-delivery inspections, for bespoke machinery and selected third-party equipment, supporting both external customers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Install and commission all product lines.
Diagnose and repair bespoke and OEM equipment.
Provide technical training to customers and company personnel when required.
Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and all internal departments.
Attend meetings as required.
Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner, following up where necessary.
Work flexible hours, including reasonable overtime and weekends, to meet business needs.
Support the department in achieving its financial and performance targets.
Comply with current UK Service Policies.
Provide out-of-hours technical support by telephone as agreed.
Adhere to customer site rules and standards at all times.
Maintain safe working practices, comply with Health & Safety legislation, and report any breaches.
Undertake all duties appropriate to the role, within your skills and experience.Skills and Experience Required

Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding ability.
IT literate with excellent administrative, organisational, and planning skills.
Analytical and critical-thinking capabilities.
A consistent ability to deliver high-quality work and outstanding customer service.
A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
