Teaching Assistant (KS1) – Temporary with Potential Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school from 6th January, working Monday to Thursday (4 days per week) initially until February half term. For the right candidate, this role may be extended and could lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Role Overview

Morning support in Year 1

*

Afternoon support in Year 2

*

General classroom support, with potential 1:1 SEND support depending on pupil needs

*

Flexibility to work across KS1 as required

(Please note: year group allocation may change in line with school needs.)

The Ideal Candidate

*

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred

*

Level 2 considered for the right experience

*

Experience supporting children in KS1

*

Understanding of SEND support and inclusive practice

*

Positive, patient and proactive approach to learning

*

Able to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
