Job Title: Operations Manager – Security Services

Location: West Midlands (Field-based with some office/site presence)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Company

Our Client is a well established and fast-growing security services provider with a strong presence across the UK. With a commitment to professionalism, compliance, and innovation, we deliver tailored security solutions to a wide range of clients across commercial, industrial, and public sectors.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of our security contracts across the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the operational delivery of manned guarding, mobile patrols, and other security services across a portfolio of sites.

Lead, support, and develop a team of Security Officers and Supervisors to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.

Act as the main point of contact for clients, attending regular site visits and reviews to maintain service excellence.

Ensure all services are compliant with industry regulations and internal policies (SIA, H&S, ISO standards).

Manage rostering, resourcing, recruitment, and absence management to ensure effective contract coverage.

Investigate incidents, write reports, and work with clients to resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.

Monitor KPIs and service standards, implementing continuous improvement initiatives where needed.

Support the senior leadership team in business development and operational planning.

Participate in audits, accreditations, and tender processes as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in an operational management role within the security industry.

SIA licence holder (frontline or non-frontline).

Strong understanding of current security industry standards, legislation, and best practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.

Ability to manage multiple contracts and teams across different locations.

A flexible and proactive approach with the ability to respond to out-of-hours issues when required.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the West Midlands.
