Job Title: Process Technologist
Main Purposes and Scope of the Job:
To be the link between the development kitchen and the production line. The main aim of the role is to ensure the smooth transition between development and full production through factory trials combined with continuous quality improvement.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:
* Helping to build and maintain strong relationships between Technical, Production and New Product Development teams.
* Scheduling and managing factory trials in line with customer and production requirements.
* Creating factory trial notifications and issuing trial recipes for production ahead of time.
* Managing raw materials for trials and liaising with the Production Manager to order any new raw materials required.
* Helping to manage trial time with Production Managers to ensure all commitments are fulfilled in line with customer timelines.
* Document data from trials and communicate any findings or changes in a timely manner.
* Secure and submit appropriate samples as requested by customer as well as those for analysis e.g. Microbiological, for organoleptic evaluation and for transit trials.
* Key point of contact for customer factory approval gate, ensuring all paperwork and samples are complete.
* Taking a key part in customer pre and first productions visits and external audits.
* Conduct ongoing investigations into production processes and making recommendations for improvements if necessary.
* Create factory paperwork prior to launch, eg in house specifications, process methodology, product attribute sheets.
* Issue factory recipes in time for first production to the required batch sizes using the internal recipe system.
* Working with the Packaging Technologist to arrange and review product travel tests.

* Comfortable working in factory environments.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large range of customers.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn.
* Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft office.
* Strong attention to detail
