Are you a detail-driven manufacturing professional with a passion for process improvement and hands-on engineering? We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic technical team in Hayes. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting production operations and driving continuous improvement in a cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Creating and updating detailed manufacturing work instructions and tooling documentation
Supporting operations on the shop floor by troubleshooting processes and resolving production issues
Collaborating cross-functionally with teams in IT, tooling, maintenance, and supply chain
Analysing manufacturing processes and identifying bottlenecks and waste
Driving process optimization through Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
Developing and managing tooling master data in SAP systems
Conducting time and motion studies, capacity analysis, and workflow mapping
Assisting in automation and digital transformation projects to improve efficiency
What We're Looking For
HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline
Proven experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and creating manufacturing documentation
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and inspection regimes
Familiarity with metal processing and surface finishing, ideally in aerospace
Confident with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office tools
A collaborative team player with excellent analytical and communication skills
Right to work in the UK without restriction
Working Environment
Office-based with frequent work on the production floor (exposure to chemicals may occur)
Flexibility required: potential shift work and weekend support during critical phases
Occasional travel to partner facilities may be needed
