JDS Recruitment is currently seeking a Qualified Science Teacher to join a warm and supportive Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit in Ilford from September 2025.

About the Role:

* Position: Qualified Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

* Start Date: September 2025

* Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Full-time)

* Location: Goodmayes (Nearest station: Chadwell Heath)

* Setting: A specialist child and adolescent inpatient unit run by NELFT, supporting young people aged 12–18 with mental health conditions

* Group Size: Teaching and supporting no more than 3–4 students at a time

* Subjects: Primarily Science, with occasional support in PE

* Type: Long-term role with potential to become permanent

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* QTS or QTLS (UK Qualified Teacher Status)

* Ability to teach Science to Key Stages 3 and 4

* Strong subject knowledge in Science

* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

* Ability to provide two years of professional references

* Full-time availability from September 2025

* Relevant classroom experience (Experienced non-QTS candidates may also be considered)
