Our client a well known and reprital business within the Nuclear industry are actively looking to hire a Lead Civil Engineer tp be based onsite in Plymouth.

Job Title: Lead Civial Engineer
Location: Plymouth
Duration: 46 Weeks
Hourly Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35 / Umbrella)
Days/Hours Per Week: 5 Days - 40 Hour Week

Typical activities will include:

Identify project functional requirements, Works Information, preparation of GI specifications, responding to Technical Queries, Requests for Information (RFI) for the project.
Manage engineering support to the project.
Support project optioneering process.
Review and accept project drawings and documentation.
Manage detailed design activities in accordance with project standards.
Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instruction/method statements/risk.
Assessments:

Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning (as required).
Liaise and consult with stakeholders throughout project life cycle to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
Comply with all Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments and support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on Site.
The post holder will be expected to support delivery within their range of skills, knowledge, experience and competence.
Contribute to the effective development and delivery of training within own area of specialism.
Experience Required:

Essential:

Experience of developing design assurance for complex projects
Experience in civil engineering for complex projects
Experience in stakeholder engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle
Desirable: 

Experience in a defence sector.
Experience in civil sector.
Experience of design delivery within defence projects.
Experience in engineering lifecycle management.
