My client is a leading groundworks contractor, well-established in the housing sector and known for delivering high-quality groundwork packages across multiple residential sites for major housebuilders.
Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of secured projects, we are looking to speak with experienced Project Managers who have a strong background in residential groundworks.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the delivery of groundwork packages on large-scale residential developments. You'll oversee teams on site, ensure works are completed to the required standards, and liaise with clients and internal teams to keep programmes on track.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple groundwork packages across residential housing developments
*
Lead site teams including Site Managers, Engineers, and Foremen
*
Oversee delivery of substructure works, roads, drainage, services, and external finishes
*
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
*
Monitor programme, budget, and H&S compliance
*
Report progress to senior management
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager in residential groundworks (housing only – not infrastructure or commercial)
*
Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of groundworks, including deep drainage, road construction, foundations, and external works
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certified
*
Excellent client-facing and leadership skills
*
Full UK driving licence
