Empowering Learning is currently working in partnership with a highly-regarded secondary school in the Newham area to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September!

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to work closely with teaching staff across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in supporting pupils academically and pastorally, both in the classroom and through targeted intervention work. The role is ideal for individuals who are considering a future in teaching or education-related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning.

Assisting in the planning and preparation of learning resources.

Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.

Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), where appropriate.

Contributing to extracurricular activities and school life.

The Ideal Candidate:

A recent graduate (any discipline considered; education, psychology, English, maths or science preferred).

A genuine passion for education and working with young people.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people (desirable but not essential).
