Contract Financial Accountant Role
£300 per day | 4 days a week onsite in Bedford

Morgan McKinley is looking for a skilled finance professional to join our client's team on a contract basis, supporting financial reporting and business integration activities. Please note: This is a contract role, and requires you to be based onsite in Bedford four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Reporting & Financial Control

Support the group audit process and prepare statutory accounts

Manage consolidation entries for management and statutory reporting

Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts

Oversee VAT returns and ensure FCA compliance

Liaise with external tax advisors and manage internal tax processes

Business Support & Analysis

Collaborate with the management accounts team to enhance reporting and analysis

Provide financial insight at the practice/unit level

Lead annual contract reconciliations and manage key commercial agreements

Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function

About You:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Strong technical knowledge of statutory reporting and consolidations

Background in audit or a technically focused industry finance role

Advanced Excel skills with solid analytical abilities

Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Commercially minded and ambitious, with a desire to progress in your career
