Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils who face barriers to learning? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient TA to join a specialist provision in Sheffield, working with primary and secondary aged pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

This is a highly rewarding role supporting young people with a range of emotional, social and behavioural needs. The school provides a therapeutic, nurturing environment and is looking for someone who can build positive relationships, remain calm under pressure, and contribute to personalised learning plans.

The Role:

Full-time Teaching Assistant position in a specialist alternative provision

Working with pupils aged 5-16 with SEMH and complex needs

Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning

Implementing Team Teach strategies to ensure a safe, structured environment

Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies

Start ASAP - the school can accommodate candidates working a notice period

You Must Have:

Team Teach training (essential)

Experience working in an alternative provision, PRU, specialist school, or SEMH setting

Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

Resilience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with challenging pupils

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
