A selective grammar school in Gloucester is looking to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent role beginning in September 2025. The school has a specialist STEM status and offers Product Design and Systems Control at GCSE and A-Level, with high uptake from students pursuing engineering careers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking DT teacher to work in a structured academic setting while leading practical, project-based learning in well-equipped workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching KS3 DT with specialism in Product Design and/or Engineering

*

Preparing students for NEA and written exams at GCSE and A-Level

*

Leading innovation-focused extracurriculars such as Robotics or Design Clubs

*

Supporting a culture of safety, creativity, and high standards

Candidate Profile:

*

DT, Engineering or Product Design degree; PGCE + QTS

*

Experience of GCSE and/or A-Level DT essential

*

Skilled in CAD (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and practical workshop delivery

*

Passionate about sustainability and future-facing design
