Lighting Engineer – Central London

A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled and proactive lighting engineer to join their maintenance team at a prestigious commercial site in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-profile environment, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance on modern lighting systems within a dynamic and fast-paced commercial building.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections on all lighting systems, including LED, emergency lighting, and automated control systems.

Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and resolve lighting faults efficiently.

*

Diagnose and repair issues with lighting circuits, fittings, ballasts, drivers, and control gear.

*

Support other engineers and coordinate with specialist lighting contractors where required.

*

Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures.

*

Maintain clear and accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and asset updates.

Requirements:

City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Installation / Engineering.

*

Experience working in commercial building maintenance, ideally within high-end office or mixed-use environments.

*

Strong understanding of emergency lighting systems, energy-efficient lighting technologies, and lighting control systems (e.g., DALI, KNX, Lutron).

*

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client-facing environment
