Solar PV Electrician – Overview
We are working with a leading domestic and commercial renewable energy company who operate nationwide, installing Solar PV, Heat Pumps and Insulation in domestic properties. They have been running since 2010 and have grown to be a £100million turnover business with a rapidly expanding Solar Division. They are looking for Solar Electricians in the local area to join the team, completing 1 installation per day on domestic properties.
Within the role you will be responsible for the installation of Solar PV and battery storage systems on domestic properties in the area. You will be working alongside a team of roofers, installing various models of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems. They aim to make the installations as simple as possible for you as installers and they will never send you to any job unless all scaffolding is set up prior to your arrival and all materials have been delivered to site. They don’t want you to have to wait around for scaffold to be erected or have to travel round picking things up from merchants.
The roofers will carry out the installation of rails, panels and running the DC cabling, you will then be responsible for wiring up, testing and commissioning of the systems and batteries. You will need to be fully qualified with your 18th Edition, City & Guilds Level 3, Solar PV Installation qualification and 2391 Test & Inspection.
As a company they also offer opportunities for training and progression to move into other areas of the business, such as ASHP Installations, which is also another service they provide.
