The Company

Our client is a leading name in several fields of manufacturing products used in industries such as furniture, bedding and automotive, with a major Global presence spanning numerous continents. As part of the continued growth of the business they are presently seeking a Sales Manager to help drive their business forward in Northern Europe.

The Role

Job Purpose

The Sales Manager role is essential for nurturing and growing relationships with existing customers in the North Europe region. This role ensures customer satisfaction, increases revenue, and strengthens the company’s presence in the market. The focus is on maintaining and expanding key accounts, optimizing the current portfolio, and building long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Development and Retention

* Build strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

* Develop tailored strategies to expand revenue with existing customer base.

* Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to identify new opportunities for collaboration.

* Oversee all commercial contracts, regulation updates and ensure all sales activities comply with local legal and regulatory requirements.

* Portfolio Optimization

* Maximize the potential of the existing product portfolio with current accounts.

* Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to enhance customer value.

* Collaborate with customers to develop tailored solutions that meet their needs.

Market Insights

* Gather feedback and insights from existing customers to align product development and improve services.

* Monitor market trends and customer needs in the North Europe region to identify potential gaps in the portfolio.

* Sales Execution and Reporting

* Deliver sales forecasts and performance reports to the Sales Director.

* Maintain and deliver a robust account management plan emphasizing farming opportunities.

* Ensure accurate records of customer interactions and track account performance using CRM tools.

* Monitor progress against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Essential

* Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a focus on account management and customer retention.

* Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple accounts effectively.

* Analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends, and performance deviations to derive actionable insights and solutions.

* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Fluency in English; knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage.

* Willingness to travel across the Northern region (valid driving license required).

Desirable

* Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Marketing, or a related field.

* Experience in the foam, chemicals or industrial products sector and commodity business.

* Understanding of market dynamics, industry regulations, and customer needs, aligned with developing opportunities in Northern Europe

* Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes related to foam products.

* Experience with sales forecasting and territory management.
