Introduction:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Site Manager to oversee a long-term kitchen refurbishment programme within the social housing sector. The role is based in Oldham and offers an initial 2-year contract, beginning in early June, with a view to go permanent after a 2–3 month temporary period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep sector experience looking for a stable, long-term role on a well-structured, tenant-focused scheme.

Rate: Negotiable, based on experience
Contract: Temporary to permanent (2–3 months temp, then permanent)
Start: Beginning of June

Requirements:

* Extensive and recent experience delivering refurbishment projects in the social housing sector — kitchen refurbishment experience is essential.

* Proven ability to manage live sites in occupied properties with sensitivity and professionalism.

* SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS required.

* Strong organisational and leadership skills with excellent communication.

* Must be based within commutable distance to Oldham.

* Must be open to transitioning into a permanent role following the temporary period.

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day site operations for social housing kitchen refurbishments.

* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring high standards of workmanship.

* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety legislation, site procedures, and tenant welfare protocols.

* Communicate effectively with residents, client representatives, and internal teams to ensure minimal disruption.

* Oversee delivery schedules, site logistics, and quality control across multiple units.

* Report progress, challenges, and completed works to senior management.

* Ensure all works are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.
