Job Title: Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Hours: Part-Time – 3 Days a Week (8-Hour Shifts)
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We’re currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join a friendly and supportive team in a well-established practice located in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous animal care experience who is looking to work part-time (3 days a week) in a hands-on, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting veterinary surgeons and nurses in the day-to-day care of patients

*

Supporting with animal handling, feeding, cleaning, and exercise

*

Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the practice

*

Assisting with reception duties when needed, including greeting clients and managing appointments

*

Ensuring the smooth running of the practice through general support tasks

Previous experience working in a veterinary or animal care setting

A genuine passion for animal welfare

A reliable, positive, and team-focused attitude

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts over 3 days each week
