The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a commercial build project in Knowsley. This is a 3-month contract with a busy, supportive team, ideal for someone who is proactive, energetic, and confident working on fast-paced construction sites.

You will be working alongside the Site Manager to help drive the project forward, ensure trades are coordinated, maintain safety standards, and contribute to high-quality construction delivery. This role is perfect for someone with strong build knowledge and a genuine “can-do” attitude who enjoys getting stuck in and keeping the site running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day operations

*

Supervising and coordinating subcontractors

*

Monitoring progress and reporting site activity

*

Maintaining site safety, cleanliness and compliance

*

Conducting inductions, permits, toolbox talks and daily checks

*

Ensuring works are carried out to the required quality standards

*

Engaging with trades, solving problems on site and keeping works on programme

Valid SMSTS

CSCS card

First Aid at Work

Experience working on commercial build projects

Strong communication and organisational skills

A proactive, positive attitude with willingness to learn and support the team

Good working knowledge of construction processes and site operations
